Growing

Today DD1 "graduated" from kindergarten. She performed in a small Christmas concert and had a party to celebrate the year at kinder. What an amazing transformation from the shy little girl of 12 months ago. No longer trying to disappear in the group so no-one would look at her, she was brimming with confidence. Her smile said it all. What a beautiful day.

Holidays

.......... volandoImage by MariClick via Flickr Not long now until we head off on holidays. I find myself daydreaming of what we will do and how I will relax while we're away. Everyone really enjoys our trips in the caravan and this one is going to be no different.

We put the van up on the weekend and the kids spent nearly two days playing in there. They're also busy imagining what we'll be doing and where we're going as well.

Birthday smiles

Red 2 × 4 LEGO brick from the LDraw parts libr...Image via WikipediaToday is our son's 7th birthday. The look on his face this morning when he opened his presents to reveal Lego's was worth being woken at 5:45am for. He has spent the entire day building new Indiana Jones creations. I have even had to remind him to eat breakfast and lunch (unheard of).

Why do I always wonder what to buy for him. Legos win hands down every time.

Home Sweet Home

The wind is howling outside. It's freezing and the rain is coming in sideways. The kids and I are still in our snuggly jammies. The house is warm. We don't need to be anywhere today. Lovely, lazy holidays.
